Design events, Styling & Decoration

Where to Shop for Style This Holiday Season. Part 1.

As the autumn holidays approach in Israel (Rosh Hashanah on September 23–24, Yom Kippur on October 2, Sukkot from October 6, followed by Shemini Atzeret and Simchat Torah on October 13–14), tradition brings with it not only family gatherings but also a season of inspiration for design lovers. Across the country, furniture and home décor stores, design shops, and galleries open their doors with special sales, unique promotions, and carefully curated collections. These pieces make thoughtful, stylish gifts for friends and family—and just as importantly, they bring new beauty and comfort into your own home.

At DI Catalogue, we’ve rounded up some exciting places in Gush Dan to visit in the coming days—whether you’re looking to explore, shop, or simply soak in a little design inspiration:

1. A textile collection of Cocoon by Praxi at Nachshon Studio

Talanted Naama from Praxi Studio beautifully captures the delicate balance between nature, material, and transformation. Created with raw linen and cotton, the collection reflects a philosophy of renewal—of unraveling and rebuilding, of moving gently from density to lightness, from stability to openness. Each piece carries the intimacy of handwork: printing, unravelling, binding, and embroidery are not just techniques, but gestures that breathe life into the fabric. The result is textiles that feel alive, inviting touch and reflection.  The colors unfold in soft gradients, expressing a spread of warmth and hope. Inspired by the wild spring bloom along the Carmel coast—mallow, Syrian thistle, and field bindweed—the palette is both subtle and profound: calming greens, warm purples, and earthy browns blending into living layers on cotton and linen.

2. IOTA STUDIO

iota is a lifestyle brand focusing on contemporary interior and exterior decoration and accessories. It was founded in 2014 by Tal Zur and Shula Mozes, who shared a vision of preserving the handcraft of crochet and revising its shapes and proportions to create a new aesthetic and uniquely designed pieces. Choosing crochet was both the starting point for the design and the possibility to create social change.

iota is a start-up – its products are not software and the technology used is low-tech, but the rugs, swings and all the other merchandise are complex and smart, and iota’s technology, the crocheting technique, is a handcraft passed from generation to generation.

During the 3 days sale of up to 80% off on items from previous collections, displays, and development samples, the products are available for purchase only at the studio shop (except for limited stock that will also be online).

3. Сeramics by Shiri Lopata

Works of Shiri , a ceramic artist and designer, speak the language of nature itself. The pieces are rooted in the artist’s exploration of organic shapes, flowing lines, and delicate textures. Working with clay in soft, calming tones, Shiri transforms raw material into a poetic dialogue of aesthetics, emotion, and movement. Each object is handcrafted with remarkable attention to detail, making every piece one of a kind. For Rosh Hashanah, Shiri has prepared a series of festive sets that beautifully combine her studio’s artistic language with the symbols of the holiday: the sweetness of honey, the flowing of water, and the abundance of the pomegranate.

  • A Sweet Holiday Table – inviting purity and togetherness around the festive meal.

  • The Holiday Table of the Seas – vessels inspired by shells and corals, carrying a natural flow and quiet elegance.

  • A Gift for the Soul – intimate pieces designed to create moments of stillness and breath.

Iris Dana creates her works on the pottery wheel. For her, this process is a way to keep balance in both work and life. The hours spent at the wheel, the focus on the material, and the molding of the clay body bring her fulfillment and excitement. The physical effort, the careful weighing, the sensations, and the full immersion together create a truly wonderful experience. The works turn out very natural, harmonious, with beautiful and soft color transitions.

From this wish, the collection was born: each piece is one of a kind, decorated with delicate festive and autumnal elements.

7. pop up: Guy Megides x Need(le) Hug

Guy Megides, a Tel Aviv–based textile designer and illustrator. creates colorful textile products with her original prints, combining bold colors and geometric patterns; baskets, placemats, bags, wall textiles, and other playful accessories.

  • Her basket collection is made from a unique semi-transparent mesh that brings vivid color into the home while remaining airy and delicate. Lightweight, washable, and easy to carry, these baskets are fantastic for various purposes from organize toys or even shower products to picnic or  beach objects!  Each basket comes in a range of unique prints and carefully chosen colors, designed to bring stylish joy to everyday life.
  • The placemats are another special development, produced in limited quantities. Their half-transparent quality makes them striking design pieces: when layered, the patterns overlap to create new visual effects – stripes turn into checks, colors blend, and the table comes alive with playful compositions.

These days Guy is running her own pop-up shop open until the eve of Rosh Hashanah where she welcomes two more inspiring Israeli designers to join her: Ella Bloch with her colorful hand-blown glass lamps, and Linor Brener and her brand need(le)hug? A perfect place to find a unique holiday gift.
