On Monday April 7th at 7pm join artist Alon Chitayat for an engaging gallery talk on AI, human-machine collaboration, authenticity, and artistic legacy, featuring an interactive installation inspired by the paintings of Pinchas Litvinovsky. The lecture is in English.
The recognizable style of artists like Pinchas Litvinovsky is often celebrated as a symbol of originality and authenticity. Yet, every artistic style emerges from a web of inspiration, observation, and references. Today, artificial intelligence challenges these ideas by replicating and reimagining personal styles, blurring the lines between human creativity and machine innovation.
This talk explores the intersection of AI and artistic legacy through a groundbreaking interactive installation inspired by Litvinovsky’s paintings. Visitors engaged with AI-generated portraits in his distinctive style, confronting curatorial choices: what to preserve, modify, or let go. This interaction became a meditation on the fleeting nature of legacy and the evolving role of technology in creativity.
The artist Alon Chitayat will reveal the creative and technical process behind the installation, unpacking audience reactions and the ethical questions raised about authenticity, appropriation, and the possibilities of human-machine collaboration.
Before the gallery talk, at 18:00, a guided tour in English of the Litvinovsky exhibition will take place. Attendees can enjoy a discount on both the tour and the gallery talk by using the code: gallery.
