Liza Fedotova is a ceramic artist who came to ceramics from painting and has been working with clay for over seven years.
Originally from Moscow, she moved to Israel three years ago, where her practice continued to grow and evolve. Her work is inspired by constructivism and Bauhaus, clean geometry, and balanced, well-defined forms. Liza works exclusively with natural materials, creating each piece entirely by hand, with a strong focus on material honesty, structure, and form.
In this interview, Liza, one of the winners of the Hanukkah Open Call organized by DI Catalogue and ECLECTIC TLV, shares her personal journey into ceramics, her creative process, and the ideas behind her work. She also reflects on how her practice is evolving and what she is planning for 2026. A conversation about material, intuition, growth, and finding your own voice through clay.
