Qualitative Architecture: The “How-To” Series : Shaping Reality – Series Launch Event
What transforms an architectural project into a catalyst for change in the public sphere? How can we turn architectural cultivation and development into a vital public resource that deserves investment for future generations?
The new series of encounters,“Qualitative Architecture: The “How-To Series”, deconstructs the qualities of the built environment into seven key parameters, serving as a platform to debate acute contemporary issues. Each session will dive into a different focus area to deepen the conversation and bring the urgent need for high-quality, thriving urban spaces in Israel to the forefront of the public agenda.
For the inaugural evening of the series, we are hosting Swiss architect Manuel Herz. He will discuss his practice and the capacity of architectural projects to instigate change and promote excellence in the design of our living environments. The talk will be followed by a panel discussion moderated by Arch. Sharon Golan.

The “Qualitative Architecture: The “How-To Series” series was created through a collaboration between the Liebling Haus Research Lab and the writers and researchers of Echut Magazine: Arch. Erez Ella, Arch. Ganit Mayslits Kassif, and Arch. Udi Kassif.
The series shines a spotlight on seven core issues that form the foundation of architectural quality in Israel, hosting leading professionals, regulators, developers, and researchers. Inspired by the Liebling Haus Lab approach, the series seeks to define architectural quality in everyday, accessible terms-providing tools and a call to action for both professionals and the general public. The ultimate goal is to foster a contemporary, climate-conscious urbanism that remains attentive to planning heritage, while cultivating a public demand for excellence in the built environment.
