ABOUT THE ARTIST

Tamara is a graduate of the BA in Art and the MA in Interior Design of St. Petersburg Institute of Decorative and Applied Arts. Her artworks are inspired by nature and its forms, colors and textures. Being an interior designer, she is also finds inspiration in geometry, architectural elements and Bauhaus style. Tamara participates in various local exhibitions, including La culture TLV in 2020 and Exhibition TLV in 2022, curated by Fiammetta Martegani. She participates in art markets and fairs.

ART MEDIUM & TECHNIQUES

Tamara works in a mixed technique. The layered structure of her art allows her to play with textures, enhance compositions, and even create a stained-glass effect within the artwork.

MATERIALS

– Birch plywood
– Acrylic or special water-based paints

Tamara uses birch plywood—a durable, high-quality material with a beautiful natural grain.

WORK PROCESS

Tamara carefully selects each sheet myself to ensure there are no defects during production. In Israel’s humid climate, materials can warp, especially after painting, so she takes all these factors into account. Depending on the style of artwork she covers it with acrylic or special water-based paints, with wood treatments to preserve the natural grain. Then she assembles all the details, applies a semi-matte varnish, and sands the surface to perfection.

CUSTOMIZATION

Tamara creates custom paintings in various sizes and unique shapes —even amorphous ones, not just circles or squares. She is a big fan of large-scale paintings and loves working with oversized formats.

There are also customize pieces available upon specific requests. She works with interior designers and has extensive experience in decorating cafés, restaurants and other public spaces, making corporate orders with branded logos and custom color schemes. One of her custom painting lines includes portraits. The idea is simple—you send her a photo, and Tamara creates a unique wooden portrait just for you.
