DESCRIPTION:The exhibition “Awareness of Memory” by the artist Nahed Abo Alhega Hamza, curated by Farid Abu Shakra, offers a profound emotional journey that moves between personal loss and collective loss — between the memory of a mother and the memory of a homeland. Through delicate yet intense drawings on everyday fabrics, the artist creates an intimate space in which material, body, and memory are interwoven.\nThe use of textiles — bed sheets, curtains, and domestic fabrics — lends the works a warm, enveloping quality, yet also a charged and complex one, carrying traces of life, scents, memories, and personal stories. The Sisyphean working process, combining drawing, stitching, and the absorption of stains, generates an emotional visual language that moves between pain and compassion, between inner turmoil and an attempt at healing.\nThis is an exhibition that invites the viewer to approach a space that is both vulnerable and courageous, where art becomes a means of processing, acceptance, and coming to terms with loss.\nFestive opening: 16.05 at 12:00\n_______________\nהתערוכה „מודעות לזיכרון” של האמנית נאהד אבו אלהיג׳א חמזה, באוצרותו של פריד אבו שקרה, מציעה מסע רגשי עמוק הנע בין אובדן אישי לאובדן קולקטיבי — בין זיכרון של אם לבין זיכרון של מולדת. דרך רישומים עדינים ואינטנסיביים על גבי בדים יומיומיים, האמנית יוצרת מרחב אינטימי שבו חומר, גוף וזיכרון נשזרים זה בזה. השימוש בטקסטיל — מצעים, וילונות ובדים ביתיים — מעניק לעבודות איכות חמה ועוטפת, אך גם טעונה ומורכבת, כזו הנושאת עקבות של חיים, ריחות, זיכרונות וסיפורים אישיים. תהליך העבודה הסיזיפי, המשלב רישום, תפירה וספיגה של כתמים, יוצר שפה חזותית רגשית הנעה בין כאב לחמלה, בין סערה פנימית לניסיון לריפוי. זוהי תערוכה המזמינה את הצופה להתקרב אל מרחב פגיע אך אמיץ, שבו האמנות הופכת לכלי של עיבוד, קבלה והתמודדות עם אובדן.\n
